La Tenerife, Spain

We finally got off the ship for a short break from rehearsals. It was a Sunday so we everything was closed in La Tenerife, Spain, which is really a part of the Canary Islands. It is very close to Africa. Weird, huh? Anyway, we took some pics with our cast because the combination of mountains and ocean was breathtaking. It was beautiful. We just wish we would have had more time. We got off to buy more water but ended up at the ice cream parlor. The desserts in Spain are huge and delicious!

Sorry for the long lapse in updates, but it is difficult to get computer time right now. We are now on the Marco Polo and across the Atlantic Sea to the Mediterranean. It is very beautiful here. The job has been the toughest we have ever done because we have been rehearsing non-stop, doing required safety courses, and learning duties that we have to perform on the ship. We are all exhausted and half our cast has the flu. Luckily, Tres and I have dodged it so far. Here are some fun pics of us in training. Tres had to dress up in the fireman gear, and I got a great shot of him after it was over. He would be a hot firefighter. Then I am using a CO2 fire extinguisher, and Tres is using the gucci of firehose´s for our ship. It was a fun day of training. The other picture is of me and our ship which was taken in Antigua. Unfortunately, everything was shut down because of good Friday so we just walked around and did sight seeing. Our safety training is over, and we passed with A´s. Tres got a 100% on the test. We even got to jump off the ship one day and had to turn over a life raft in the ocean. It was a blast. Now we just have rehearsals for the next two weeks and then we can relax and enjoy Europe.

Working Hard

Sorry we haven't updated recently. Rehearsals have been really tough for us. It is alot of information to process. We are finally learning our last show which is a Broadway show called Standing Room Only. I love the music, but the dancing is pretty tough so it has been challenging for me and Tres. Miami is still nice and hot which we are loving. There is a park right across the road from our hotel with a huge lake and a track one mile long. We spend alot of time over there. We had our day off yesterday and spent it running errands. Then I slept the rest of the day while Tres did laundry. He is definitely a good husband. We are coming up on our last week of being in America. We will miss the USA but are looking forward to seeing so many different countries. My sister and mom left for Germany two days ago and arrived there safely with the kids. We will get to see them during our cruise which I am excited about too. I hope I get to see my sister's house because my mom said it is huge -- bigger than the May's. Yes, Cheryl!!! Well, I am headed to bed because we have early rehearsals tomorrow. I hope to add some pics this week. Goodnight.
