BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING

On my way to Chicago I stopped off in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, and stayed at my dad's house. Even though dad and Norma were vacationing in North Carolina, my "little" brother Matt has an apratment in the area so we got to hang out...just the two brothers...and we had a great time. We also had some fun in dad's study with some of our father's toys. Matt is a great guy and a really cool young man....a lot like his big brother. I had so much fun just hanging out with him. The audition in Chicago went good. NOw, I'll just have to wait and see if I get the call. It was a fun trip, though, no matter what happens. It was a neat experience just to be on the same stage that actors like Bill Murray, John Belushi, Mike Myers, and CHris Farley made famous. Even though this little trip has been fun, there has still been something missing....my wife....it's only been four days...but it has been four days too many. I love her so much and I miss her like crazy. Amanda, I hope your ear isn't still bleeding...I'll take care of you when I get home.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN

It seems as though we are always on the road. It doesn't matter if we are working, on vacation, relaxing, visiting family...whatever. We are always traveling. It's a good thing we like road trips. Amanda's "dark chocolate" cravings really seem to kick in when we are on the road. Sometimes the chocolate gets a little hot in the car, but that doesn't stop her from enjoying the treat. Last weekend we paid a visit to my Aunt Lee and Julie in Lexington and hung out with my mom in Frankfort (I forgot to grab the camera so I don't have any pictures of our time with Lee, Julie, and mom)...but we had a great time with them and enjoyed our visit. We then traveled to Pigeon Forge, TN, to check out a theater and then headed back to Allen to start another week of workshops. This past weekend we drove to Lexington again for another big weekend. We had some new headshots taken (we may have some of those to post soon) and also got to visit with my Dad and my stepmother, Norma, as they were passing through Kentucky. We hadn't seen them in a long time. I actually can't remember the last time I saw them. We had a great visit with them. Amanda's mom and dad drove down to Wildcat country as well to pick her up. When Ed Bridgette is around I can always count on a couple scoops of ice cream and this time he didn't let me down. The picture with Ed and Debbie was taken in the Cold Stone Creamery. Ed, Debbie, and Amanda drove back to Poca on Sunday and I began my trek to Chicago to audition for Second City. I'll have some of those pics in the next entry...stay tuned...oh, by the way, the picture of Frank and CHeryl May has been posted for my own amusement. I think CHeryl would kill me if she knew I posted this. I think she even told me no to, but I think she looks great in her wedding dress!

LETS GO PAINTSVILLE!

I can't believe I am saying this. I hope I don't offend those of you who went to high school with me, but I did recently attend a Paintsville Middle School football game and, yes, I cheered for Paintsville. I don't want you to worry. I bleed the black and gold of Johnson Central and I have no new found love for our evil cross town rival known as the Tigers....but....I do have an invested interest now in Tiger sports. Let me explain. As Amanda has posted, we are staying with the May family in Allen, KY, while we are teaching drama workshops to schools across Eastern Kentucky. Their daughter, Victoria, is a cheerleader for Paintsville and we went to see her cheer her very first game. We went with her parents, Frank and CHeryl, as well as her sister Kelly and Kelly's husband Steven. We were also with her grandparents, David and Lois. Before the game started, David allowed us to take his corvette for a little spin. I decided to pay my stepfather, Brad, a quick visit with a quick trip to Tutor Key. We got the corvette back safely and enjoyed the game. Paintsville won and Victoria did great. I did my best to give her a hard time during the game heckling and yelling. I even wore a Paintsville Cheerleader t-shirt. She, however, refused to break under the pressure. We had a great time with the May family as we always do. In case you are wondering, Amanda has handed over the blog duties to me for one night only. Don't worry, she will take over once again after the next couple of posts. I hope I make her proud.

Wireless is Coming

I must admit I deserve an F in blog updates recently. Part has been due to the fact that working just "takes something out of me" :), the other part is due to the fact that the May's do not have wireless. They only have dial-up which will not let us download pics because it times out. I will update with pics when they get wireless which should be Wednesday. For right now, we are teaching acting workshops in the Kentucky school system and having fun doing it. The kids have been great all-in-all. We also found out that we both have Christmas jobs. Mine is doing a show in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Legacy Theatre which is owned by some former Jenny Wiley actors, Bethany and Mark Smith. I am really excited to do the show and work with them again. Tres is doing a show in Palm Springs, California, which is a comedy called Tuna Christmas. He and one other guy play about 40 different characters a piece. This will be our first time apart so we are pretty sad but think we can do it for a month. We have no clue what the future holds after these jobs, but I'm sure it will be exciting.
