Apologies, Parties, and Pizza

So life has kept me pretty busy here in Lake Geneva, partly due to my obsession with the spa. I spend about 2 or 3 hours there a day. I must make this disclaimer, I have not taken many pics here so this update is not a full representation of all that has been happening. Tim and I are obsessed with yoga classes and go everyday there is a class offered. This is a favorite pastime of ours. We also attended a cycling class that we enjoyed this morning. The show takes up our Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays so nothing much happens those days but singing. We have a weekly "creative breakfast" with our friend Ann to bat around our creative ideas, dreams, goals. I very much enjoy those mornings, especially when it takes place at Egg Harbor Cafe -- a Lake Geneva gem. We did a sledding night last week when we had lots of snow. It was fun despite the fact that I was a little paranoid about running into a tree. We missed skiing because of bad snow conditions but are hopeful that this Monday will bring snow!
Mike, our music director, and Jake sometimes come to my room for jazz singing night which consists of Mike singing us jazz standards. It is highly entertaining. One week he got a little crazy and climbed the beams across my vaulted ceiling. ,

Impressive, huh? If you are in Cincy, his band plays at Northside Tavern. Check him out, he can really play. Here are Jake and I posing. Mom this one is for you, and I think it was more than one :)

Last Monday, I was bummed that we didn't get to ski and was being a bit bratty so Kevin had me over for dinner. My friend Angie is here for the week too, and they completely catered to me. What great friends. It was just what I needed to ungrouch me :) The homemade pizza was delicious, just like I ordered. We made cookies and watched "Julie and Julia" which I absolutely loved. It ended up being a perfect day off. Thank you, Kevin, for family night!

Oh, and I must apoligize publically to my cousin TJ and friend DJ -- I completely missed your birthdays! They had birthdays this month, and I let them pass. I am so sorry! I do have presents for both of you though so don't think I completely forgot you. Next time, I will bring my birthday book with me to remind me.

Family, finally!!!!!

What a great weekend this was. For the first time ever, my sister's kids came to one of my shows. I have never been so excited for a show. So I didn't get many pics because we were so busy having fun, but it was my favorite visit I have ever had here. The kids were so fun. They loved all the displays, the gingerbread houses, and the show. They came to all of them -- except for Josie. They also hit it off well with Tim -- he has a great game called "Baby Rhino" which Owen loved. We went to the waterpark in between shows on Saturday which was loads of fun -- no pics. It was great to see Mom and Meg too :) Their visit made the rest of this contract seem short. Thank you all for coming. It made my holiday season.

After the show -- yes, Josie was still up.

The baby rhino faces.

Pizza and Exercise

Angie came in from Cincinnati and took our cast out for pizza (and beer, for those who drink beer --yuck). Tara, my best friend, got to meet her this summer, and now Tim knows her. I thought Tara would appreciate this pic considering the three of us were together this summer. I had told myself I would only have two pieces of pizza to go along with my spinach salad. Yeah right, six pieces later, I was finally filled up.

Here is Matt, Ann, and I with full bellies and huge smiles. Thank you, Angie!!!

The next day was our day off so Tim, Sean, and I decided to take a walk around the Lake Geneva Lake -- at 2:30 p.m. We slept in until 1:00 -- gotta love my job.

Tim was spellbound by the view. Can't you tell?

Sean and I praying we don't fall into the freezing lake below.

Here is one of the many gorgeous houses along the lake path! The two men in my life (for December) I love these guys.

I am so glad Tim is here. I haven't laughed this much in forever. We are singing our hearts out and making the most of our time here. Hopefully, we will get some snow and be able to ski. Don't worry, more will be coming in video format that I think many of you will find highly entertaining. We have something fun up our sleeve.

P.S. How do you feel about the hair, DJ? I wore it curly so you could see. Approval now?
