Aussies in America

What a great surprise I had last week. Two of the passengers I had met from the Marco Polo paid me a visit for a few days. Lloyd and Shirley are from Australia and were taking a trip around America and decided to hit Ohio. I was so glad to see them. We had a great time catching up on life. We have kept in touch by email so I was very excited when I knew they were coming here to visit. Their last name is Evans so I told them they must visit Bob Evans, an American staple. It was the most entertaining trip I have ever taken to the restaurant. It took them 30 minutes to decide on what they wanted, and I had to explain what many things were. Apparently, we have very different names for the same things. At the end of the dinner, they both gave it a thumbs up; although, they agreed that the menu had too much to choose from. I was so glad to see them and look forward to repaying the visit to the Gold Coast someday.
