Food and Fun
David and I met up last week for a great dinner at the Melting Pot. We ended up spending three hours there and had one of the best meals ever! The chocolate fondue was my favorite part. (Tara, next time we are together, I am going to do a fondue dinner for you like this -- four courses! ) David loved it, especially the shrimp. We had a great day, and I even got some bread pans from Williams-Sonoma! Liv, I bet you already have some :)
I have been spending some time with a great family here. Chad and Tamara are the parents, and they have three little boys. They definitely have their hands full, but somehow they have made time for me to come over and have dinner or just hang out. Their house is always lively. We even sang karaoke the other night, and Tamara taught me how to moonwalk. We had a great dinner night last night, and Chad topped it off with homemade milkshakes! Mmm!
I love my kitchen and have been exploring the world of baking/cooking alot recently. Here is a favorite dish from Greece with beans, tomatoes, onions, and loads of spices. It turned out quite well which was exciting for me. I lived on that dish for a month. The other is an Irish Soda Bread recipe I got from my best friend's grandma. It was quite tasty, and I made a honey butter that complimented it well. Yes, this is definitely geeky, but I enjoy it.
Also, congratulations to my best friend Tara! She recently opened a theatre company, and they had their opening show last weekend. I am so proud of her and pray it is successful.

Nice dress!! Have you figured out more ways to wear it yet? I can't figure mine out. Oh my gosh that fondue dinner sounds amazing!! You look like you are having a great time in all your pictures. I'm glad the bread worked out. I'll let my Grandma know- she'll be so happy. Thanks for the congrat's on the company! 5 more shows... we really need bigger audiences! If anyone reading your blog feels the need to visit Victoria, BC, Canada, I know of a great show!!!... I miss you my friend! Keep posting the pictures! Especially the food ones! I live vicariously through your dinners! Love ya!

Amanda, it looks like you are doing awesome. You look so beautiful in your Melting Pot picture! We love the that place, unfortunately it is not conducive to bringing along a 2 year old. Your blog is making me hungry with all of your food pictures!
