A year to celebrate
This is a year I have greatly celebrated and rightfully so. A year ago, my mom had melanoma. It was one of the hardest things I have gone through. My mom and dad are my rocks and two of my favorite people in the world. My mom is my nurturer, friend, travel companion, idea bouncer, and voice of reason. She is not only my mom but my top person I spend time with. Recently, we visited University of Pitts., and they were very positive about her progress. She has been cancer free for a year now!!!! None of us can predict the future. Proverbs says, "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord that directs his steps." I have no clue what this next year will hold, but I am so thankful for the past year and all the time I have been able to spend with my parents. Momentarily, I am in their living room amazed at the state I was in three years ago while sitting in this same chair. God, time, and forgiveness have a way of bringing peace, and I have to smile now when I think back that far. What a blessing to enjoy the now wholeheartedly and look forward to the future with hope.

Amanda,
I too rejoice in the good report the Doctors gave your mom.She is a precious lady, and a blessing to so many!
You are such a testimony of how you allowed God to bring so much fruit, from such a painful situation three years ago. Thank you for choosing the path of forgiveness and grace!

That is such good news and I am so glad to hear that things are going well for you!!
You are blessed Amanda, and God is always faithful. He doesnt always give us what we want but always gives us what we need when we need it. I remember what you have been through, and though I was not there to walk with you through it, you have always been in my prayers.
