Out with the old and in with the new

Transitioning times always mean a lag in blogging thus the posting delay. I am now settled in Wisconsin and rehearsing my butt off (literally) seven hours a day. Before I arrived here, I was in WV for a week and was able to visit some family. I always love that time. My Mama Sue and I went out for an afternoon and had a great time eating and shopping. She is a remarkably strong woman that I admire. I hope to have her strong will and determination when I am that age.

En route to WI, I stopped over at Meg and Joe's house for the night. We had dinner at a great place called Mojitos and ate up! Meg even liked it, and it was quality food. I was amazed!

Although it was only a night, the kids and I crammed in some great play time. The next morning, they headed to church. The kids looked adorable, but Maggie was the only one up for a photo shoot. I think I took at least 15 shots of her. Josie got in on the end of the shoot, and Owen wanted nothing to do with it. I thought these were cute of the girls.

One other big change was I had to get a new vehicle! My car pretty much went kaput so it was a fast decision. Luckily, I have had my eye on a dream car for a few months now -- the Subaru Forester. Guess what? That is what I ended up getting! I absolutely love it and thank my mom and dad for helping me through the whole shopping process. I was sad to part with the old one but am anxiously awaiting the new adventures to take place in the new one.

Now that I am here in Wisconsin, I must say that time is precious. Most of our days are spent learning hours worth of music and choreography so I don't have lots of computer time. My cast is lots of fun, and the girls are great. If week one is a foreshadowing of the contract than we are in for a great two months. Alyssa and I are the soprano section. Ah, she is a great soprano minus the attitude :) It's good to be back with familar faces.

Angie, friend and company management, came in for the weekend to check out rehearsals. We ended up doing a "Girls Night Out" to the local ice cream place. What fun company and a great time. I hope we have many more of these nights! Specifically at Cullivers :)
