Greek and Mexican Flavors
Much to my family's surprise, a favorite pastime of mine is cooking. I'm not really sure why I am posting these pics, but my cousin Durell posts pics of his food occasionally, and I am always interested. Feel free to comment on the absolute boredom I must be experiencing in order to post pics of my meals online. I recently tried an authentic Greek night with recipes I had gathered/observed during my time there. Stuffed feta peppers, a village salad, olive bread, and tzatziki were the menu that night. Merlot/Rasberry spritzers were the drink available. I also made my "nacho night" recently, named by Tres but served to many. I tried homemade salsa the way they taught me in Mexico, and it turned out great, as well as authentic watermelon juice. It was a tasteful night. To top it off, I made an Ibarra chocolate cake from Mexico. Mmmm... Honestly , I got that recipe in Canada from a restaurant there. Their chef had acquired it in Mexico. Yes, Tara, it was every bit as good as Milestones! That is about all that is going on for now. There is more news to come. Hope everyone has a great 4th of July.
