Playing Simon and the flu
I am going a little stir crazy after being shut in my house for three days straight. I have the flu, and I must say it has really knocked me off my feet. Thank goodness for Tropicana and veggie broth, or I may have starved to death. I am finally getting my appetite back and am less than 24 hours away from being non-contagious! While this Influenza Strain A was coming on, I was at my sister's house meeting Josie. She is so cute and cuddly -- the perfect little girl. I got one-on-one quality time with Maggie and Owen too which was so fun. We had a movie night on Valentine's Day while Meg and Joe went out on a date, and as usual, I kept them up at least 30 minutes past each one's designated bedtime. We made cookies, watched Rescuers, and played lots of running games. I couldn't think of better Valentine dates :) No pictures were taken during my trip. The kids kept me pretty busy "playing". Next time.
On Saturday, I judged a showchoir competition in Cincinnati. Despite the fact I was sick, I must say it was a blast. I absolutely loved it. The other judges were great; although, I was the Simon of the three women. The men made me look like Paula though so that took a little guilt away. I hope I get to do more of that work in the future. There is some great talent out there, and it was really fun to watch it.
I am now home, stuck in my place until tomorrow evening. It has been a nice break from work. Thank goodness for my computer and movie rentals. Granted I feel better, I am doing some modeling at a corporate event this weekend which will be fun. Other than that, life is pretty slow in Ohio. It snows all the time here. I'm ready for some sunshine!
(Mom and Meg, I tried making the JJ's famous PB Fudge. She is definitely keeping the secret from us. It was just ok)

I was in Cincy Saturday too, at the Duke Energy Center. And I am flu-like. Weird. The Dailey's have been lurking your blog and haven't said hi in a while! I can't believe Meg is on kid 3, we are only on 2, 3 is still in debate. Where in OH are you? Next time you are in the Louisville area, and you have time, let us know! We'd love to catch up!

p.s. Did you ever do lessons with Linda at Gorby's? That place smelled funny to me!
Amanda,
I don't know if you check these comments, but I found you here, and I thought it time we got back in touch. It's your old friend Wes from Asbury days. I'm sorry to hear you've been sick, and hope you're feeling better by now. If you'd like, you can send me an email (twesleyfreeman@yahoo.com). I'd love to catch up.
Take care,
Wes
Get well soon Amanda!:)
