NYC, dreams, and old friends
If any of you don't know, I am now in NYC going for the big "Broadway dream." It has been a crazy first week, full of first -time experiences such as : a stolen subway pass, a Broadway audition, a solo night walk in Harlem, and NYC rush-hour metro rides. I am enjoying it and have reconnected with so many friends from my past. I have been staying with a great friend named Anthony that I met in 2001 at HersheyPark. It has been great to see him again. I am sleeping on the couch and actually leave to stay with another friend from Norwegian Cruise Lines tomorrow. I am bouncing from couch to couch in order to pursue this crazy dream that possesses so many in this business. I am learning alot and have been going to Times Square Church with Pastor David Wilkerson -- what a preacher!!! I will post pics soon of some of my old friends. For those of you that have known me for years, you will recognize many of the faces.

Hi Amanda! You don't know me but I am the secretary at First Church of God in New Albany, IN, and have the pleasure of working with your good friend Andy Dailey. He first told me about you when you were on the cruise ship, and I was always excited to look up your blog to see where you were going next. I recently talked to Pastor Andy about Dave Wilkerson and have read so many of his books that I had to write you and tell you what a blessing Pastor Wilkerson has been on me. Reading his books makes me feel like I'm receiving a message straight from God, so I can't imagine what it would be like to hear him preach every Sunday. Andy told me today about your divorce and I was so depressed to hear the pain you are going through. I have been there myself and know what heartbreak can do. I also found that - that is where such huge spiritual growth has come into my life and where I felt closest to God. I will keep you in my prayers.
