Huey or Louis?

First of all "Happy birthday" to Mark! He turned 32 yesterday so we had a little cast celebration in between shows. His Spiderman cake was great!

Today was a cast day. I went to church with half of the cast, did the show with all, and then most of us went to the Huey Lewis concert. I must say that my only knowledge of Huey is from my dad and the "New York, New York" song we sang on the cruise ship. Despite my ignorance, it was a blast, and I recognized some of the songs from being in the car with JR and Lori :) They love the 80's music. Huey sounded just like the cd's and was a good entertainer. Dad, you would have loved it. I must say it was a bit funny to see all these old rock fans now dancing with their kids at the concert. Actually, it was pretty cool. We danced, laughed, and were bored with the new songs.
I have to tell a short story that drives this post's subject heading. When I called my sister to tell her where I was going, she said "I think I know who that is. Is he the guy that sang 'It's a wonderful world'?" She was thinking about Louis Armstrong. Isn't that funny? Sorry, Meg, but you all have too many on me!

Truth be told, I am not a concert person. I haven't been to that many in my life, but none have been memorable. I find the music too loud and annoying to try and talk over so I just stay silent and pretend to talk, until people give up trying to read my lips. Despite my silence, I had a blast. Although I wasn't familar with the music, the company was a delight. That is all that matters to truly make anything great though. Thank, cast, for a great night with the children of the 80's.

The two Southern belles. We prefer a night of theatre to a concert. Dustin nicely added the finishing touch to this picture!
I must say that Mark and Bethany are quite the rockers. Matt bust out some moves after Huey sang some favorites.
Dustin and I sat together. He did all the talking and yelling for me. It was very amusing.
Here I am with two of the Parkers, they are missing their best half! :) Mike and Julie are great. I have thoroughly enjoyed finding friends in them.
